“Spiritual” 

For centuries, stained-glass windows have been used in cathedrals to unite the earth and the divine.  At first they were used to bring light into these sacred churches and to visually teach biblical stories with figures and symbols.  Modern stained-glass windows are used in a more contemporary manner as an integral part of the architectural structure.  The pieces in the Spiritual Symbolism Series combines the ancient with the contemporary.

The Cross in the Chaos draws focus to clarify amidst confusion.  It symbolizes resurrection, lifting from adversity.  Each composition uses discarded materials to express this transformation.
