“Repurposed” Series

In the wood industry off-cuts are pieces left for scraps.  Rather than discarding them they have been salvaged and “Repurposed” into my art. With an emphasis on positive/negative space, contrast of surfaces, limited color, movement and a variety of shapes, these remnants, along with specifically cut pieces, were revived into expressive new assemblages. The titles of many of the pieces are idioms which are personified in the execution.
